Verse of the season, My Lord, the Warrior

Random verse that is somehow sticking in my head for the past couple of weeks: "When this is done, I will go to the king ...... And if I perish, I perish." - Esther 4 : 16b

Man, I like that heart... at the end of a super busy day that started from 530am in the morning, strolling alone again in parkway... i do feel kind of low, but if I was going to give in, I would have done so years ago.

The Lord whispers even now as I type: Take courage, and arise!

Reading Wild At Heart now... by one of my fave authors John Eldredge. Such a stirring book... my heart leaps at some of the words being said.

I read it briefly before giving my copy to a friend... and on reading it his words were: "I could have gone on living the way I did forever... but because of you, because of this book... I can't"

Powerful stuff. Cmon now... to all the men out there, do you feel it in you?
- that passion to go out and conquer something
- to excel at your craft
- to win the heart and hand of a girl
- to be totally sold out.. soul-ed out.. for a cause greater than ourselves?

Created in His image... and do you know whats a part of that image?:

The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. Ex 15:3
