Of Pastors, Principals and Patience

I just want to thank God for the past couple of days... its been really blessed. On friday we held an event in a hi-rise sky terrace which could easily turn out to be a washout - but I asked God to hold the weather from 4 pm until the end of the event, and He did :) It was raining throughout the whole morning, but it stopped at about 3.45 :) Awfully nice of Him :)

I was late for Saturday's meeting with Pastor B because of rehearsals, and by the time I arrived, He just left due to a last minute appointment back in Perth. I did get a chance to talk to some of the marketplace people though, and it was just nice to meet fellow believers who, by day, are teachers, accountants, project managers and the like. Saints in long sleeve shirts :p

Of special note was a sister whom believed in Christ because Pastor B personally shared christ with her. Through many doubts and questions, Pastor B persisted. Really warms my heart to see Ps B not just preaching from the pulpit, but also walking the talk. Good man, that one :)

I also ran into a couple of CEFCers (strange how they seem to be everywhere this season), and took the opportunity to talk to them about church. That conversation eventually brought me back for another visit on sunday, where a whole string of events took place. A conversation with a kindly man turned out to be from a bible college, and when I asked about cells in the east, he laughed - apparently I bumped into the principal of East Asia School of Theology, (aka... EAST). To top it off, true to his namesake - he was also the zone pastor of the east zone of Singapore and started introducing me around, telling other church staff about our little divine appointment.

It has been quite an interesting weekend, another mark on the journey :) It is very reassuring to know that God has prepared a place for me.

Gotta digress and say this. Deep down, totally inadequate though I am, I also feel I cannot ask for less than seeing this nation saved and transformed, and the hope, freedom and peace that comes with that. I only hope God will give grace and courage for whatever part each of us may play in this task.

For now though, it will be back to nurture patience. Theres work to do for upcoming events, tomorrow S2S meets for the first time, and its time let a few more people in raffles place know its christmas :)
