'Corporate Blessings'

Its a slow post-lunch monday afternooon with just one project to do... thankful for time and space to think and slow down. As im currently rotating departments I dont have a fixed desk, so im a bit in the way with a little desk table along the corridor... but still, this arrangement won't last forever and thankful for work at all. Also because I believe this job is from You, Dad.
Im pleasantly surprised how smoothly the transition was to working life. Considering all the prayers and thoughts of full time ministry... starting bands, learning how to shepard and such, how nice of God to also help me slip into the shoes of a young office worker in shenton way readily.

I dont really enjoy routine work n do need some variation, but I dont mind routine at all - in fact, heres mine :p

720: first alarm clock rings

721: *mumble....rest..mumble*

725: handphone alarm rings

735: out of bed into the bathroom

745: out of bathroom into bed for a moment to be still (not too still :p)

755: @bus stop

825: @shenton way

840: walks into office with bee hoon in one hand, teh si in the other.

1230: monday lunch with marketplace ministry group - appreciate their prayers n also its just so wonderful for believers to meet in the marketplace.
tues-thurs with colleagues or reaching out.
fri lunch with sec school friend..

~1900-1930: reaches home.. praise God for so little OT.
there.. if its God's will, then thats life for me for the next 3 or 4 years, unless God calls me midway. In the meantime, heres..

Ten things in the office im thankful for:

1) No work on sundays

2) Little overtime

3) The possibility of office alpha

4) A direct bus to work

5) Good working environment with very little gossip (they just talk about shopping and food.. :p)

6) An email environment that suits me fine

7) A church friend who works ridiculously close by for company

8) Job rotation this year (believe its part of God's training for me)

9) A workplace fellowship that helps me keep in touch with the body outside church and feel a bit of the heartbeat of God for the nation

10) God with me 24/7
