Faith Does Register
How wonderful are your ways Dad...
Alpha weekend.. what a struggle of faith... arriving at 2pm and quietly staring at the row of name tags all laid out on the reception table.. knowing that they represent rooms booked by our cluster that will remain empty tonight.
M only came for the afternoon and night... was hesitant and we think theres something holding him back.. its ok.. faith will come by hearing... but, yeah it had just been a couple of rough days from friday afternoon on.
After it was all over, our cluster meets and sorta just stares at each other for a while...
i mutter to a bro.. 'porridge?'
we share openly our disappointment... bro, we're not new at this... old soldiers that's spoiling for a victory uknow?
i step out for a breather in the night sky... n in the quiet of that little corner of the hotel... God speaks. "Faith does register".. it was all worth it... taken note of forever.
then faith arises, KC starts releasing words after his fashion and the world opens up before us once again.
Then, ex-boss L (*grin*) starts to share, and its wonderful... how office alpha possibilities just opens up, colleagues expect there will be an alpha and alpha becomes office banter.. her boss promises to come next time, and next week we continue..
Then, mere minutes later, a sister whos an acquaintance from new year breaks the news that she has trusted the Lord! Wow...
Then, the session closes and a quick question is thrown out: "how many of you have trusted the Lord tonight?" hands shoot up around the room... practically every single visitor!
Then, some room switching then takes place, and God compensates our expensive no show by leaving me and bro V with the largest room ive ever seen... 2 queens, a sofa, writing table.. a long bath..
Then...we share into the night, 2 straight shooting guys covering a lot of ground, and it was one of e best times we've had the whole year..
Then.. church.. then...a cool easter rehearsal... then..then..
Dad, thanks for an awesome weekend.
Mm.. a few posts back...
the money? ...written off as a faith deposit.
The bible? ...found its way into the hands of someone special... special because angels are throwing a big party in heaven over her tonight.
It *is* good, to be a child of God. :)

8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand
and by his mighty arm:
"Never again will I give your grain
as food for your enemies,
and never again will foreigners drink the new wine
for which you have toiled;
9 but those who harvest it will eat it
and praise the LORD,
and those who gather the grapes will drink it
in the courts of my sanctuary."
Is 62:8-9
