Sober Judgement and Buried Dreams
Many dreams, Lord, are still a way off. In the fire of family, in the quiet corners of work, in the iron sharpening fellowship of others on the journey and in the intimacy of worship...
Teach, humble, break, tear down, rebuild.
Staring at the calender, in patience and hope, i believe one day the time comes for each of us to step out in faith and compassion for His people, to sing the song of our lives. Be it pouring it out to feed the hungry, lifting high His light in the workplace or crafting songs and art fit for a ing, it will be for Him and His people. His people both those already in the kingdom, and those out there. Those who seem so unlovable from the outside, but whom in their sin, i see mine own, and i see His blood that washes and covers it all...
But for the day, a friend speaks against the church (sure, show me an infallible minister and ill have to point you to God), others go through rough patches which makes mine problems feel miniscule in comparison, i prayerfully consider burying a few dreams in the light of ps 16, and out comes my bass, bible (and now crutches) to walk the well trodden path.
Till that day Lord, find us waiting and ready, purify, fill with faith, hope and love. And day by day, step by step, let us learn from one another.

Yet this appeal is not final nor infallible, and is only to be estimated in proportion to the intelligence and piety of those consulted. I remember well how earnestly I was dissuaded from preaching by as godly a Christian matron [lady] as ever breathed; the value of her opinion I endeavoured to estimate with candour and patience--but it was outweighed by the judgment of persons of wider experience. ... There has hardly ever been an instance, take the whole house through, where the general opinion of the entire college concerning a brother has been erroneous. ... yo brother, yeah serve the King..don't bury too many of your dreams cos am sure much of it is Godward or even god given and not out of personal gain ... handover to Him don't bury it down too quickly or He will eventually go one big round and raise them up again...God bless u!
hi brother, sister, whoever u are :) thanks for dropping by, and thanks for the encouragement. yeah, will handover to him, and if its really something to be raised up, He will raise it up in due time. in the meantime, shall de-ego myself :)
