Love Singapore
Back from Day To Change Our World prayer meeting... awesome :)
Its always warms my heart to see believers from different churches coming together.. moving past man made boundaries and embracing the larger body of Christ. As we worship together, it is a tiny glimpse of heaven.
The faithful men and women who lead these meetings, Canon James, Bishop Moses, Ps George A, Ps Lawrence n Eugene, Ps Kong, Ps Benny, Rev Rick S, Ps Edmund... to see them steadfastly growing, moving and leading together with the church year after year is most inspiring. So different, yet, so used by God. Something for a young man to learn, there :)
Loved that little dynamite like pastor too.. remember how years ago when i first set eyes on this small, stooped man.. how he firmly laid out 5 year plans for no less than asking God to save and transform the entire nation as we know it. Now, 7, 8 years and by Gods grace tens of thousands of souls, down the road, watching that same diminutive man shout and lead in passionate prayer and 'hallelulahs' brought back excellent memories of a journey walked together.
Having the young 12 year old lead in prayer was really touching too. The humily of the older leaders to allow her to lead the final prayer declaration makes ones heart well up in hope.
Loving SG block by block is another wonderful initiative.. i wish my family would approve of what i would like to do.. i might not stay in this house forever, might move to a flat or apartment in a few years down the road. No love lost there, really relish the thought of visiting neighbours and inviting them all over for tea :) Lord, i trust You to provide for me a home one day... a home that will glorify You. Might even trade the bungalow for a HDB flat if its Your will.
Also, just a little further to home, as the teams to ET offer their services, church leaders are being given access to the highest levels of the government including even the PM! praise God.
Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will serve before kings;
he will not serve before obscure men. - Prov 22:29
I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame - Ps 119:46
Praise God, for the word of God has come to pass in our day...
It was, a good evening :)
